I have over 15 years of professional leadership experience in both Finance and IT and have been lucky enough to work all over the world. I have directed multiple large-scale software implementations domestically and internationally as well as having managed Finance, IT, Talent Management and Business Administrative teams. Having been a member of several executive teams I have always enjoyed the strategic aspect of my role bringing my variety of experiences to the table. I have a passion for continuing education and helping others which I feel are qualities of any good leader.

  • 2013 - 2014

    Director of Finance and IT

    Retrotech Inc


    My main role at Retrotech Inc. was to transition the administrative staff away from legacy systems and into a robust ERP system, Infor Syteline.
    The role also included spearheading the search for a new premises and relocation of the main office. Managing a team of around 10 IT and Finance professionals. Along with the development and implementation of Key Performance indicators, using Balanced Scorecard methodology.
    It was my responsibility to provide executive leadership regarding business strategy and talent management, as well as Information Systems and reporting directly to the board in France.
    I also created and deployed a succession plan and using the 9 box methodology to ensure employees not only reached their potential, but also that any organization weaknesses were identified.

  • 2010 - 2013

    Director of Financial Operations

    Monroe Veterinary Associates


    I began working for the Animal Hospital group as a consultant focused on improving their management reporting and assisting in the financial improvement of a couple of their hospitals.
    Following my time consulting I was offered a full time position overseeing Finance and IT for the group as their Director of Financial Operations.
    Delivering IT support to ~500 end users and reporting financials directly to the board. I led a small team, of around 12 finance and IT professionals. While at MVA I successfully led the group through several organization-wide software installations, including new hospital management software, payroll software and accounting software.
    During my time with the hospital group I significantly improved financial reporting resulting in more accurate and relevant information being delivered much earlier.

  • 2008 - 2011

    Senior Financial Analyst

    R Brooks Inc - Williamson NY


    During my time at R Brooks & Associates I aided due diligence process of a multi-million-dollar international acquisition in France and led the founding of a UK presence.
    In addition to the time spent overseas I was also the Program Director for the Implementation of Syteline, which was successfully implemented across the entire organization.
    I was also responsible for researching and developing Key performance indicators and comprehensive cost-based analysis of the operations both domestically and internationally. I designed a strategic plan and business process documentation that was role specific to aid in the onboarding of staff to the new software. As well as a translation table from the legacy system to the new.

  • 2004 - 2008

    Financial Controller

    Gestamp Automation


    As the financial controller for the UK Division of Gestamp it was my responsibility to report and maintain the financial records and accurate international reporting. I managed a small team of around 15 finance and IT and Business Administrative professionals multiple international and domestic offices.
    I was also the Program Director for the implementation of SAP Business One, and led the Group through the implementation at all offices.
    My role also included creating process documentation and delivering training on the new software to my teams.
    I oversaw all of the audit and compliance for the Group and worked with financial instruments allowing to work overseas in a safe and cost effective manner.

I have a passion for education and learning that is with me as much today as it was when I was a child. Family

I am very lucky to be the husband to Abijah Humphries and the father to our five awesome sons, Benjamin, Tristrum, Alfred, Fletcher and Henry. (Also our hairy kids, Lucy and Pippa our two Labrador Retrievers). Being a father has been my life’s greatest accomplishment.
